Okay, imagine this story. Two thieves broke into a house. Cops caught them nearby, and they are now in jail. The pair committed many burglaries near Essex, including incidents in Redbridge and Chadwell Heath.

It happened Sunday, December 15th. Police responded to a break-in at a house on Mansted Gardens. The police blocked all possible escape routes. The thieves then ran onto the High Road where police chased them and caught them.

The officers searched the suspects and found gold rings, bangles, and necklaces. These items were stolen from the house. Police linked the men to other burglaries too, including one at another house on Mansted Gardens. They stole a safe with gold and cash.

Geani Bogonos, 42 years old, and Vasile Filip, 26, appeared in court on February 3rd. They admitted guilt right away, and the court sentenced them.

A police officer, David Izard, spoke about the case, emphasizing that burglaries invade people’s privacy. He noted that officers responded quickly and bravely. They caught the suspects and then did a full investigation. Bogonos and Filip were serial offenders.

The police continue to patrol, focusing on high-risk zones. They also offer tips to prevent crime. Contact the local team with concerns, or find details online at The Met.

Bogonos was found guilty of two burglaries, with three other burglaries counted in his sentence. Filip was guilty of one burglary. Three other burglaries counted too. All burglaries happened during October and November 2024.
