Cambridge: An 18-year-old drug dealer was caught in the city center. Alfarooq Makinde was sitting on a market table when police noticed him.

They found a machete hidden underneath the table. After arresting him, officers searched Makinde and discovered 25 wraps of crack cocaine hidden in his bottom.

He was sentenced to eight months in a young offenders institute. This happened at Huntingdon Magistrates’ Court on January 22. Makinde pleaded guilty to several charges, including drug possession and carrying a knife.

Detective Constable Lee Steeden emphasized that carrying a knife is dangerous. It can lead to serious harm and escalate conflicts. He stated that drug dealing and violence are not tolerated in Cambridgeshire. The police will keep working hard to keep the streets safe.
