Littleport: Plans for a new housing development are moving forward. A proposal for 286 homes near Grange Lane was submitted by Grange Lane LLP in January 2025.

The development will feature various home types. This includes 15 one-bedroom flats, six two-bedroom maisonettes, and a mix of two, three, and four-bedroom houses. There will also be 34 self-build plots and a building with three retail units.

In addition to homes, the plans include public open spaces and play areas. The goal is to create a vibrant community with essential amenities.

Earlier, outline plans were approved in January 2020. The first phase, covering 360 homes, received approval in January 2022.

The design statement highlights the need for affordable housing and quality public spaces. East Cambridgeshire District Council will decide on the application soon.
