A referendum in Peterborough will let residents vote on a local development plan that shapes their neighborhood’s future

If the plan gets approved, it will become part of the official planning rules. This means it can really influence future developments.
The referendum is set for February 6. Voters will be asked if they want the council to use this plan for local decisions.
About 9,365 people can vote. They’ll get a poll card with details on where to go.
Sally Weald, the forum’s secretary, emphasized the effort put into this plan. It took seven years to get here, and she hopes everyone will vote.
Cllr John Fox, the local city councillor, stressed the importance of this vote. He believes it’s a chance for the community to have their say.
