A man was arrested for selling drugs from a stolen car in Peterborough, raising concerns about local crime.
Peterborough: A man was caught dealing drugs from a stolen car. This happened at a shopping centre. Vladimer Sivak, 38, was arrested in a car park.
It was August 3 last year. People reported drug dealing in the area. Sivak was with two others in the car. They were found in Green Lane, Millfield.
The car was stolen from Queensgate shopping centre the day before. Police found a black pot with five wraps of suspected class A drugs inside.
Sivak admitted to having crack cocaine and heroin. He also had £403.81 in cash, which was considered criminal property.
He went to Peterborough Crown Court on January 9. The judge gave him 16 months in prison, but it was suspended for two years. He must also complete rehabilitation programs.
O’Callaghan, 37, was sentenced to 20 weeks in prison. He had a suspended sentence activated and faced other charges too. A 21-year-old woman was not charged.
DC Kara Halls from Cambridgeshire Constabulary said tackling drug crime is a priority. They need public help to report any concerns about drug use.
People can report drug issues online through the police’s dedicated webpage. It’s important to keep the community safe.
