Cambridge: A vandalised pavilion might soon become a new café. This café will be part of the Darwin Green development. Plans are in place to refurbish and extend the building.

The pavilion was last used near Christ’s College and Sidney College sports pitches. It has been empty since 2006 and is in poor condition due to vandalism.

This building is located in the corner of the Darwin Green area, near Woodlark Road. It will overlook a new open space and play area. The development has permission for up to 2,593 homes.

The proposed café, named ‘Livies,’ aims to be a welcoming spot for families. It will include a play zone for kids and serve as a community hub.

‘Livies’ plans to create a space where families can have fun and thrive together. It will operate as a business while focusing on serving the local community.

Additionally, the first floor could host children’s parties and events like yoga and Pilates. The goal is to revitalize this vacant building and make it a valuable part of the Darwin Green development.
