Cambridge: The UK’s first neighborhood just for renters is now open. It’s called Eddington, and homes start at £1,900 a month. Present Made began building this area last year.

Eddington has 373 pet-friendly homes. You can find three and four-bedroom houses, plus one to three-bedroom apartments. The homes are built to a high standard and include shared facilities like a gym, cinema rooms, and green spaces.

This neighborhood is part of the University of Cambridge’s plan for sustainable growth. A spokesperson said it aims to boost the city’s population and economy.

Eddington is already developing with homes, businesses, and sports facilities. It even has the University of Cambridge Primary School, which is rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.

Operations director Anthony Lewis expressed pride in their work. He believes they are setting a new standard in the rental market. The homes are designed by experts in property and sustainability.

Present Made plans to expand this renter-friendly concept to other areas in the future. Renters can decorate their homes as they wish, with no deposit and flexible contracts.
