Tesco is shaking things up for online shoppers with a huge expansion of its Marketplace, now featuring over 300,000 products from various sellers
Bristol: Tesco is making waves with its online shopping. They’ve expanded their Marketplace big time. Now, there are over 300,000 products available. That’s a huge jump since they started in June 2024.
You can find all sorts of stuff now. From home appliances to art supplies, they’ve got it all. They’re calling it a one-stop shop. It’s like a treasure hunt for shoppers!
Peter Filcek, the Tesco Marketplace director, shared their vision. They noticed customers searching for items that weren’t in stores. So, they decided to fill that gap. It’s all about giving customers what they want.
Even though items ship separately, you can still earn Tesco Clubcard points. Each seller is checked for delivery speed and returns, so you know you’re in good hands.
Remember Tesco Direct? It was around from 2006 to 2018 but closed due to money issues. Now, they’re back with a bang! Filcek believes they can finally meet customer demand in a way they couldn’t before.
In other news, a Tesco employee named Nathan Lorenzo shared a cool tip on TikTok. He revealed that soup is now part of the meal deal! With the chilly weather, it’s a perfect addition.
Lorenzo said, “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but Tesco are now doing soup in the meal deal. It’s genius because it’s freezing in the UK right now!”
