Peterborough: A woman named Cristina Curt, 27, stole £48,000 worth of cosmetics from Tesco. She was part of a criminal gang that traveled around the UK shoplifting.

Cristina focused on cosmetics and healthcare items. Her biggest theft was worth £3,341. She often left stores with thousands of pounds in stolen goods in just one day.

Her crime spree ended on October 12, 2024, in King’s Lynn. A security guard recognized her, leading to her arrest. Investigations revealed she had committed 42 thefts.

While in custody, she admitted to 16 thefts. Authorities found evidence of 26 more offenses, including eight attempted thefts. Most of her crimes happened in July, totaling nearly £16,000.

Cristina was sentenced to 18 months in prison at Norwich Crown Court. Police noted her extensive travels across the UK to avoid capture. They praised the security guard and Tesco for their efforts in tracking her down.
