Whittlesey: A 27-year-old guy named Joshua Fowler got himself into serious trouble. He thought he was chatting with a 14-year-old girl on Kik. But it was actually an undercover cop.

In late 2023, he sent her some really inappropriate messages. Even after she said her age, he kept it sexual. He even shared a video of himself doing something explicit.

Fowler mentioned he loved seeing girls in school uniforms. Not cool at all. He was arrested in early 2024, and they found some disturbing stuff on his phone.

They discovered indecent images of kids and some extreme adult content. During questioning, he didn’t say much. He was released on bail but didn’t learn his lesson.

While on bail, he started chatting with another girl, who was also an undercover officer. Their talks quickly turned sexual again. He was arrested a second time for this.

Fowler faced multiple charges, including trying to engage in sexual chats with minors. He admitted to everything in court and got four years in prison.

Detective Sergeant Jonathan Lockwood emphasized the dangers kids face online. Thanks to undercover work, they caught Fowler before he could harm anyone. Protecting young people is a top priority for the police.
