A man went to jail. He thought he chatted with a young girl online.

Alexander Senf, age 50, talked to “Grace.” She was supposedly twelve years old. An activist group made the fake profile on Wink. He later switched the chat to WhatsApp.

He asked for photos from October 10 to November 15, 2023. He told her she was pretty and could trust him. Then, he sent sexual messages on November 15.

The activists confronted him at home the next day. They were on Cedar Road in Cambridge. They called the police. The police arrested him and took his devices.

Police found over 500 images of kids on his phone, laptop, and USB drives. Some images were in the worst category. He tried to get a child to do sexual acts.

Senf admitted to everything. He got two years and ten months in jail. The court was in Cambridge. The sentencing happened on Thursday, January 30.

A detective said they protect kids and want to keep vulnerable people safe. Help exists for people with bad thoughts, like Senf. He did not seek help nor own his actions. The detective hopes he changes in jail.
