A man has been banned from a retail park and Co-op stores in Crewe after a court order due to his shoplifting history
Christopher Davies, 39, who doesn’t have a fixed address, got the order on January 9. The Crewe Beat Management Team worked hard to get this at Chester Magistrates’ Court.
They gathered evidence from several shoplifting incidents linked to him. The order means he can’t enter the retail park or any Co-op for three years. If he breaks this rule, he could end up in prison or face a big fine.
Inspector Daniel Welch from the local police said Davies has been a persistent shoplifter. He hopes this order will stop him and reassure local businesses and residents.
The police want everyone to report any suspicious activity. They’re working to make Crewe a tough place for criminals like Davies.
