A local MP is pushing the Government to speed up the new hospital programme and avoid any more delays in construction and rebuilding efforts.
Health Secretary Wes Streeting recently announced that the programme will be relaunched. It’s supposed to cover the building and rebuilding of hospitals across the UK.
Sollom mentioned that both Hinchingbrooke Hospital and the Cambridge Cancer Research Hospital are part of this plan. He’s been visiting hospitals and sees how hard the staff are working. But he knows they can’t keep it up under tough conditions.

Streeting said construction for these projects is set to start between 2025 and 2030. But Sollom wants that timeline to be quicker. He’s determined to keep the pressure on until the last brick is laid.
