Cambridgeshire: A group of hare coursers caused trouble on Saturday. They broke gates and damaged fields. This happened near Therfield, Hertfordshire.
Police from both Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire are looking into the situation. Officers were called to Mill Lane around 1 PM after reports of trespassing vehicles.
When they arrived, the Rural Operational Support Team used a drone to gather evidence. They also had a chase with the Roads Policing Unit.
Sergeant Alex Winning mentioned that several vehicles came from Cambridgeshire into Hertfordshire. They drove through fields, broke gates, and likely participated in hare coursing.
This activity caused significant damage to farmland. Hare coursing involves dogs chasing hares, and it can lead to serious legal consequences.
Two vehicles involved were a Blue Subaru Forester and a Silver Toyota RAV4. Police are asking for help identifying people in videos circulating online.
