A fight happened in Halifax, badly hurting two people, who ended up in the hospital.

The fight took place on Mile Cross Road on Wednesday, February 5th, involving weapons and vehicles. Two men now face charges relating to the violent event.

Sohaib Tahir, 36, from Westbury Place, Halifax, and Uzair Mahmood, 24, from Rhondda Place, Halifax, are both charged with violent disorder and weapon possession. They were expected in court on Friday, February 2nd.

Police arrested three more men in connection to the fight. Three men were arrested earlier but released pending further investigation. A seventh man remains in custody from a prior arrest.

Detective Inspector Rob Stevens of Calderdale CID thanked people for providing information and asks anyone with further information to help.
