Crewe: A car went up in flames at Pebble Brook Park. It happened around 3am on Sunday. Firefighters and police rushed to the scene. The car was found fully ablaze.

The fireball was quite a sight, with the car sitting on the grass. Pebble Brook Primary School is nearby, which makes it even more concerning. Fire crews from Cheshire worked quickly to put it out.

They used special gear and hoses to tackle the fire. Since it was a deliberate act, police got involved right away. They’re asking anyone who saw something to come forward.

PCSO Lizzie Jolley is urging locals to stay away from the muddy area where the car burned. Parents should keep kids clear until it’s cleaned up.

The recovery team did a great job getting the wreck out of the park. It was a tough job, but they managed it with a smile.

If you saw anything around that time, please call the police. Your help could make a difference in catching those responsible.
