Lloyds Bank’s Wisbech branch will close on January 22, leaving customers with fewer local options for banking services.
Wisbech: Lloyds Bank is closing its branch here on January 22. They announced it to customers recently. The Wisbech branch is on North Brink.
A spokesperson explained that many customers prefer online banking. They use the mobile app or call instead of visiting branches. This shift means fewer people are using the Wisbech location.
After the closure, the nearest Lloyds branches will be in King’s Lynn and Spalding. But don’t worry, a Community Banker will still be around to help locals.
Even though the cash point at the branch will close, there are other free cash machines nearby. You can find them at HSBC in Cornhill and Nationwide in Market Place.
Interestingly, 31% of personal customers have used other Lloyds branches. Plus, 78% have opted for online banking or phone calls. It seems the Wisbech branch is not as busy as it used to be.
