A man attacked a woman outside a pub in St Neots, leaving her injured. The incident escalated when her partner confronted the attacker.
After the first hit, the woman asked him if that made him feel tough. Instead of backing down, he hit her again. This time, she fell to her knees, bleeding from her eye.
A witness saw the whole thing and told the woman’s partner, who hadn’t seen the attack. He confronted Hall, but ended up getting punched too.
CCTV caught Hall using a broken glass bottle to hit the man. Police were alerted and quickly arrived. They arrested Hall on South Street, while an ambulance took the couple to the hospital for treatment.
Hall, from Sandfields Road in St Neots, was sentenced to one year and nine months in prison on January 17. He pleaded guilty to several charges, including actual bodily harm.
Sergeant Simon Page said this was a totally unprovoked attack. He emphasized that violence won’t be tolerated and they’re committed to justice.
