Callum Lee Difiori, 26, jailed for seven years after raping two women. The attacks occurred while the victims were sleeping.
The court sentenced him on February 7. They gave him seven years in jail. This happened at Bradford Crown Court.
The prosecutor, Ian Howard, spoke in court. He read victim impact statements aloud from the two women. Due to legal reasons, we cannot name them. One woman felt numb after the attack and said she shut down emotionally.
The other woman said she felt overwhelmed, and her mental health issues worsened after the incident. Difiori’s lawyer, Abigail Langford, spoke for him. She mentioned a psychological report.
The report said Difiori always had neuro-diversity issues. These issues were not diagnosed earlier. Langford said it impacted his mental health and affected his behavior too.
Langford said Difiori seemed immature and claimed he showed autistic traits. She argued that he’d be vulnerable in prison. The judge, Patrick Palmer, spoke to Difiori.
Palmer noted Difiori’s good character before he committed these serious crimes. The judge addressed Difiori via video link and said the crimes greatly affected the victims.
The judge considered both reports and mentioned Difiori’s maturity. Difiori must serve two-thirds of his sentence. He has to register as a sex offender for life. The judge issued a restraining order lasting for ten years, and Difiroi cannot contact either woman.
