St Neots: A gym is on the move! Gainz Fitness and Strength is relocating to a larger spot. The new site used to be a restaurant, so it’s got some space to work with.

The gym owner, Alex Lowndes, asked the council to keep the 24-hour schedule. Some folks worried about noise, but the environmental health officer said it was all good.

Alex mentioned they’ve had no complaints since opening in 2017. He believes they can manage a 24-hour gym without bothering the neighbors. The new location will help them expand their services too.

He explained that being open all day helps reduce traffic. Unlike gyms that close early, they spread out the crowd. This means less chaos at closing time.

They’ll keep the gym staffed until 8 PM and lower the music after that. Alex is committed to being a good neighbor and keeping noise levels down.

The new site will have a glass lobby to help with sound. Plus, it’ll breathe new life into a space that’s been empty for a while.

Councillor Douglas Dew supports the move, saying the gym has been a good neighbor. The committee agreed to let them operate 24 hours at the new location.
